TJF’s Hazin Interview with Agony of Defeat

Agony of Defeat is a high-energy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. Well-known and respected for their intense live show, Agony of Defeat is ready to blow up further and let the rest of the US experience what Iowa already knows.

Two Brothers In The Band Elick And Eric… Started In 2007 With The Same Line Up… Derek Hutchinson First Started Playing Drums With Eric And Elick In 2006. Kyle Then Came Into Play In 2007 Following With Marley As The Last Added Member To The Machine… “… We Just Love Playing Music And If We Didn’t Do This I Think We All Would Feel Like Something Is Missing In Our Lives. It’s Not That We Want To Do This More Then I Feel That It Is In-Grained In Our DNA… We Have To Play!!”

A.o.D. Members: Eric Verdulla – Vocals *A lyrical powerhouse, Eric has often told his fellow band members of his desire to be heard. A fan of all music, Eric writes his music and lyrics with the intent of preserving them for a lifetime in the minds of anyone willing to listen. Elick Verdulla – Guitar/ Vocals * It would appear that Elick never sleeps and if he does, his dreams, without a doubt, are of performing music. He never filches on stage and he never stops writing. He formed the band Agony Of Defeat with his brother Eric In 2006 With Hutch On The Drums. Elick has been playing guitar and writing music for almost sixteen years now. “

Shit I Remember Eric, Marley And I Recording @ The Studio When We Were Kids. Man That Was Awhile Ago”… Kyle Kolker – Bass *Growing up, it is hard to say if Kyle found music or if it found him. Known for working up an intense sweat both in the studio and on stage, Kyle is better known as “Tiny” by his more intimate fans. Ricky Marks – Guitar * “Marley has been playing guitar since he was a kid. Non-stop energy mix with a take no prisoners mentality, he has been bringing his passion to the stand front of many to unite all with the love of music. Derek Hutchinson – Drums *A musician from birth, Derek is a multi instrumentalist. He is the heart beat of the band… ” D ” or Hutch is what his fans know him as but don’t let him fool you — Drums is not the only tool in his shed.. Always on time and always ready to throw down!! This is AOD.
