In 2012 we’ve decided to streamline our interviews and promotions.  To be honest the amount of promotional requests we receive is overwhelming.  Seems like we’re spending a LOT of time on this and we still leave people out.  We now have a generic interview form anyone can take advantage of HERE..

If you’re an ACTIVE TJF member we’ll promote ya for free, otherwise:

TJF Article Promotion

Non TJF members will have their groups’ name, Facebook, and website address (NOT reverb, youtube, twitter, etc… a REAL domain) published in a large promo article with others who’ve contacted us.  This article will be ran weekly/bi-weekly and shared once on our Twitter/Facebook accounts.   No individual mentions will be made for free (see “Social Promotion” below).

 Charities/Non-Profit

If you’re running a charity event or non-profit event we need either: previously established relationship with the H.N.I.C. (Head Ninja In Charge) or some type of proof that 100% of your proceeds are going to charity.

Contests Outside Of TJF

If anyone hosts a music contest we’ll help the first person who contacts us for the respective contest.  We’ll promote one person/group per 10 that contact us.  If happen to have 2 people contact us at once we’ll flip a coin or go with the entity that promotes us in return.  This guideline is set in place to assure our mentions/promo stay fresh.  In other words – if we should out 10 people (all for the same contest) it won’t likely help any of them.  If we keep the contest promos to a minimal number we’ll always be able to yield good results when we promote ya…

Facebook/Twitter/Social Promotion

We’ll no longer give free shout outs to non-TJF groups/artists on any of our social networks (namely Facebook and Twitter).  The artists we currently promote had faith in us before we had a large crowd/following.  It’s not to be rude or show bias/favoritism…. but…. we’ll continue to promote them for free.   If you want individual mention on our social networks we’ll require either: website donation (per shout) or some type of merch donation to the TJF community (shirt,cd, whatever you got)… You can ship the merch and we’ll promote ya (with a contest/giveaway) as soon as we receive the merch.  ALL CONTESTS/GIVEAWAYS will be conducted OUR WAY please DO NOT try to dictate your promotion.  These promotions will include a TJF article about you/your group and social links.  When we move the article to Twitter and Facebook we’ll @mention ya on the respective sites.

Non-Music Related Promotion

Regardless of what you’re selling, product you’re promoting, etc…. the policy is the same for you as performers.  If you’re an active member of TJF we’ll promote you for free.  Otherwise we’ll request a website donation or 1-3 samples of your product.  We’ll give the products away, to the community, as part of our promotion for the respective product.  We’ll wait to receive your product before we run the promotion.  Each promotion will be conducted as we see fit unless specified ahead of time.

Save Your Time IF

If you’re straight up down with some heavy ass satanic shit or you’re racist…. save your time…. no reason to contact us.

What We Need

Please don’t ask us to “find you”.  Don’t have “your friend/manager” contact us only to play a game of he said/she said.  If you’d like to be promoted/introduced to the TJF community we need some examples of your work.  Call this a press kit, of sorts.  Any HQ music online, youtube vids, a small bio of who you’ve performed with, albums you’ve released, interviews conducted about ya, etc etc… ANYTHING that will help us learn more about you… and valid links ONLY!

“I can’t afford to pay for promotion and have no merch”

In that case you could sign up for TJF and PROMOTE US the way you’d like us to PROMOTE YOU!  Anyone who can’t spare loot for promotions should take advantage of the networking on TJF alone.  We don’t mind helping anyone but expect you to return the favor, ya dig?

Disclaimer

We paid for the advertising that made our network strong and currently pay $6/day for our dedicated server.   We hope the policy we’ve set in place seems fair to everyone.  We will not run many stories that aren’t Psychopathic/Hatchet House (or similar labels with long-standing Juggalo history) – it’d be stale to do that shit as a Juggalo entity, ya dig?  We reserve the right to refuse promotion to anyone without giving a reason.  If you feel like contacting us for a custom promotional package please email mrhatchet@truejuggalofamily.com.  All other promotional inquiries should email staff@truejuggalofamily.com.
