7 Rappers Known For Skating

With the recent news that Lil Wayne would be featured in the upcoming “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5,” many have wondered why(why indeed) the rapper would be included in the game. Surprisingly, Weezy is a big skateboarding fan, just like the rest of these rappers are. Here are 7 rappers who skate.

1. Lil Wayne

When Lil Wayne announced that he wanted to be a skater, many people laughed at him(some still do). The rapper started off pretty bad, but he’s gotten a lot better and really seems to enjoy the skating culture.

2. Wiz Khalifa

Like Weezy, Wiz Khalifa got into skating later in life but appears to enjoy it.

3. Yelawolf

Unlike some of the rappers on this list, Yelawolf is actually a good skater.

4. Lupe Fiasco

I’m not saying Lupe Fiasco is the sole reason for skating in hip-hop, but the Chicago rapper and his first hit single “Kick, Push” were a big reason for the sport’s acceptance in the culture.

5. Tyler, The Creator and Odd Future

Before they were a big time rap group, the Odd Future guys were just kids who loved to skate and make music.

6. Hopsin

Hopsin likes to call out Lupe Fiasco and Lil Wayne on their skating talents, but one thing that can’t be debated is that Hopsin is pretty good himself.

7. Pharrell

There’s a reason they call him Skateboard P. Like Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne, Pharrell may not be the best skater but he is a big part of skating in hip-hop.
