A Lot Took Place At Comic Con While We Were At The Gathering

Comic Con,Comic-Con,cosplay,

A lot of us ninjas were out Gathering and witnessing the magic of the Wizard of the Hood set while Comic Con was taking place. Hopefully, next year if the stars line up right, we will be at both Comic Con and the Gathering. In the meantime, though, we do have the highlights of what went down and what got dropped. Let me tell you, we could not be any more excited for all of this ground shaking bit!

The Justice League Trailer Starts Bringing Heroes Together

The first part of the Justice League two-parter arrives in November 2017, but we’re now getting our first teaser. The above trailer shows Ben Affleck’s Batman rounding up the remaining heroes he found on the files he lifted from Lex Luthor’s computers in Batman v. Superman. We get to see The Flash, Cyborg, and Jason Mamoa’s intimidating Aquaman. You can also catch a promo shot of the whole team (including Superman) here.

The Wonder Woman Trailer Brings the Fight to World War I

While Wonder Woman stole the show in Batman v. Superman, everyone was still curious how she would fit into the modern world in a solo movie. The answer (much like with Captain America’s first solo outing) is that she won’t. Her first movie will take place during World War I, and it looks amazing.

The Second Doctor Strange Trailer Pours Magic Directly Onto Your Eyeballs

Meanwhile, over in Marvel land, Doctor Strange got its second trailer. The first one came out shortly after shooting had wrapped and we only got a few effects. This trailer fixes that problem. We get a good look at Strange’s rune spells, more of the trippy kaleidoscope effect we saw in the first trailer, and a city on blue fire. If you’re into Marvel’s magic side, this looks promising.

Luke Cage and Iron Fist Got Their First Trailers, Plus a Teaser for The Defenders

Marvel also dropped a few teasers for its various Netflix series. Luke Cage is up next, with the first season of the show dropping on September 30th. Next year, we’ll see Iron Fist, and you can see the first trailer for his show below. All of this is leading up to the Avengers-style crossover series The Defenders in late 2017, featuring Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist all in the same series. You can find a teaser for The Defenders (sans footage from the show) here.

We Got Our First Look at the Ship From Star Trek: Discovery

CBS is creating a brand new Star Trek series to air next year, and now it finallyhas a title and a ship. The new series will be called Star Trek: Discovery and you can see a teaser of the new ship above. There’s not much else to go on at this point, but if you’re into Star Trek and you’ve already watched the new movie this weekend, this is a great tease for your next hyped project.

The Renewed Mystery Science Theater 3000 Series Is Coming to Netflix

After a stellar Kickstarter campaign, MST3K was destined to get renewed. Now, not only does it have a new cast (plus some of the old cast), it’s found a new home on Netflix. The series will return “in the not too distant future” featuring Patton Oswalt, Felicia Day, Jonah Ray, plus Mary Jo Pehl, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy reprising their live-action roles.
