Harley Quinn Movie with a Surprising Twist

Suicide Squad hasn’t even hit the big screen yet and Warner is already working on a Harley Quinn movie. Here is the twist though, it’s not so much a Harley Quinn movie as an all female cast comic book movie. The only other star roles mentioned, though not confirmed, are Batgirl and Bird of Prey.

The movie is said to be propsed by Margot Robbie who plays Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. She will, of course, play Harley in the new untitled movie as well as be a producer. It’s said that Robbie brought in her own unrevealed female writer for the project. The studio is all for this new movie as Harley Quinn merchandise is very profitable. That is all that’s known about the impending moive as Warner is not releasing any details as of yet.

DC is also moving towards a female demographic as they just introduced a DC Superhero Girls line of comics and products. The featured characters in this new line are Quinn, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Katana (fellow Suiside Squad member), and Bumblebee.

Margot Robbie is said to have fully imersed herself in Harley Quinn lore. She drove right into finding all she could about the character she was to play in Suicide Squd and has seemed to fall in love with it along with other female comic book characters. She told Cineplex:

“Harley is creepy, violent, crazy — all of the things that I aspire to be! No. It’s the fun of living vicariously through someone who is doing things that I would never do in real life.”

So, Margot Robbie has been granted a new female comic movie that is sure to tantilize any Juggalo since it will star favored character Harley Quinn. How can the Juggalo community not be excited for this news? We here at TJf will keep you updated with any new information as it develops. Today’s tidbit was broke in an exclusive from Hollywood Reporter.
