Insane Clown Posse The Most Common Misconceptions

C40A1959Insane Clown Posse is known as the most hated band in America. With that title, unfortunately people see them in a different and negative light. But those are just people who are outside looking in. Those who are living in the Juggalo world know how much they have impacted our lives and how much good they are trying to spread all across the world.

With those people who are on the outside looking in, they make the biggest misconceptions about the wicked duo. So, today I am going to give you some of the most common misconceptions about the wicked duo that people have made and the actual truth.

5. They are the biggest joke in the rap industry.

Insane Clown Posse has been the bunt of the joke ever since they became more well known in the underground rap game. People all across the world look down on ICP, and see nothing but the clown makeup, the horror core rap music, and their label image The Hatchetman. No one sees that they are like everyone else. They have families, a job, and a dream that they get to live EVERY single day. People laugh at ICP every time they go on tour, but none of them see how much they have ACTUALLY helped people all across the world.

4. They are drug dealers or junkies, they party all night long, and don’t have any responsibilities.

Insane Clown Posse have been called drug dealers or junkies throughout their entire career. People also often say all they do is party all night long and don’t have any responsibilities. But this certainly is not the case for these two. Violent J has even said in an interview with Uncommon Journalism, that he has to find a babysitter for his shows, and then after the concert has ended, he goes back home to his kids. His bills are paid and current, and he has made money off the concerts that they perform at. They are definitely not drug dealers or junkies, especially since they have children that they go home to after they tour.

3. They worship the devil and their music promotes satanism.

If you have ever sat down and read Behind the Paint, you would know that Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope are far from being Satan worshipers. They believe in a higher power and they have felt the work of God flow all around them. Yes, their music is horror core rap, but if you really sit down and listen, you would hear their actual message. The six joker cards all have a meaning behind them, that shows they are not worshiping the devil. Listen to “Thy Unveiling and they will tell you what their message is.

2. Insane Clown Posse are gang leaders

We all know that everyone has a few bad apples, and the bad apples that we have in our family, have made it seem that we are all a bunch of gang members. Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have been called gang leaders, because the FBI have claimed Juggalos as gang members. They have a family, a career to keep, a life to live. These two are just entertainers, who have a HUGE fan base that love them and their music!

1. Insane Clown Posse are women haters

Back in day there was an interview on Nightline, that portrayed people thinking that ICP HATED women. Obviously this is a BIG misconception. We now have Juggalettes, Miss Juggalette contest, and the Lettes respect movement. Plus, time and time again, if you watch Psychopathic Radio, you can see how Violent J and Sugar Slam (Violent J’s wife) interact with each other. If you also carefully listen to their music, they even state how they despise violence against women, and how men who hit their women, should be punished severely. ICP being women haters, such a HUGE misconceptions.
