Insane Clown Posse Interview

Prep from Prep Talk met up with Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J from the Insane Clown Posse for an interview on Wednesday, October 21st.  He started with their latest tour.

The tour lasts for over a month going from California to Florida.

“It’s a dope tour,” describes Violent J.

On tour with ICP is POD, DJ Paul, Dope DOD, Young Wicked, and ABK.  Stitches was originally going on tour with ICP, however, his girlfriend and he had their baby early.

A dual record came out three months a part and was named the Marvelous Missing Link.  Lost was released in April and Found was released in July.  ICP‘s tour is named the Marvelous Missing Link tour.

“We got some new stuff on the show but we do most of the classics,” Violent J says.

WWE star, R-Truth, came out in Charlotte, NC to perform three songs as Insane Clown Posse‘s opener.  Most people do not know that R-Truth is not just a wrestler, but a real rapper and puts out mix-tapes.

Steve Miller is a journalist from Michigan who has interviewed the Insane Clown Posse numerous times to create his book, Juggalo: Insane Clown Posse, Their Fans, and the World They Made.  ICP has yet to read it and the book will be available in 2016.

Shaggy 2 Dope explains what the book’s about.  “It’s not about us, it’s about the whole Juggalo movement.”

“[Juggalos are] the show,” Violent J states.  “We wouldn’t be, shit, 23 years in the game and still going.”

The Gathering of the Juggalos is pretty much a continuous, four-day party where those that are or are not Juggalos, and have no idea what to expect for their first time at a gathering, leave having the greatest time of their lives.

Juggalos, [they are] real different kind of fans.  There’s not millions of them, but they have the strength of millions, the drive of millions.  They love to be together with other Juggalos.”

Prep wishes he could have a lifetime supply of Faygo.  So does ICP.  They have to buy the products, just like everyone else.

Also, ICP keeps the Faygo heated in order to spray their audience.  Cold Faygo does not fly.
