IRS Investigating Shaggy 2 Dope!

Joseph Bruce aka Violent J, left, and Joseph Utsler aka Shaggy 2 Dope, member of the Insane Clown Posse address the media in Detroit, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014. The rap metal group sued the U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday over a 2011 FBI report that describes the duo’s devoted fans, the Juggalos, as a dangerous gang, saying the designation has tarnished their fans’ reputations and hurt business. The American Civil Liberties Union filed the lawsuit in Detroit federal court on behalf of the group’s two members. (AP Photo/Carlos Osorio)

You read that right fam.  The IRS has asked a judge to enforce a summons on Joseph Utsler regarding his earnings in 2011 and 2012.  The summons stems from when Utsler did not attend scheduled meetings in April and May where he was required to bring in financial documents.  The Denver Post tried reaching out to his attorney for comment but has yet to receive a reply.

That’s all the details there are at this time.  When more comes out we will keep ya updated.  No official charges have been filed, it is currently just an IRS investigation.  Could this be government harassment from the FBI lawsuit.  That is obviously just speculation but it is something that came to my mind when the news broke.  We will keep ya updated when more information about this IRS investigation comes out.

The Idaho Statesman is reporting that the IRS has a tax lien of $162,417 against Utsler’s home. The government has also filed a lien of $217,366 against the property of Joseph Bruce.  Shaggy’s lawyer Farris Haddad has told the Detroit News that the issue will be dealt with after next weeks Gathering Of The Juggalos.  If he doesn’t it is certainly a possibility that he could face jail time.
