New Crypt Keeper for Tales from the Crypt Return
I'll go on record, "Crypt Keeper as we know him is more popular than ever & it'd be a sham/shame not to have him host the show!!!!!

We’ll have to wait for that confirmation. But, M. Night Shyamalan did confirm at Wondercon that there will be a Crypt Keeper. Though this shouldn’t be a surprise considering he already confirmed this to /Film back in January. We also already knew of the idea to model the Crypt Keeper off of the original comic image shown above. With his straight answer of “There will” at the Wondercon roundtable interview it doesn’t really give us anymore info than we already had. It’s just a comfort to know that yes he will keep that part of the show.
.@slashfilm I'd never make Tales without the CK! Will be a new take on him as the puppet is property of HBO. Promise he'll be cool and dark!

Now that’s settled, what about the other question on everyone’s mind? Will the format of the show stay with new story lines every episode or will the show have a seasonal plot line? The /Films interview inquired about this also. It really just revealed that M. Night Shyamalan is pretty fickle, but as of right now plans to stick with the original format of the iconic classic.
“You know, I can’t say 100% but I’m thinking right now, where I am, if you’d asked me this six months ago I would have a different answer, but where I am right now it’s more individual Black Mirror kind of stuff right now,” Shyamalan said.
This change of heart might of been due to his outreach to fans back during the original announcement.
What are your favorite "Tales from The Crypt" comics and episodes? Looking to adapt some and I’m ready to dig in!

Well, many a fan of the original Tales of the Crypt (including myself) are concerned that M. Night Shyamalan is going to screw this reboot up royally. He seems to want to be vague about the whole affair according to his recent responses about the show. That makes me think he is toying with a lot of ideas and the format for the return is really still up in the air. We shall just have to see what he comes up with.
Back at the first announcement of the return Kevin Reilly, TNT and TBS executive, hinted that the show would use the original EC Comic as a guide as oppose to the original TV series. He also hinted at a audience participation component. Whatever that means.
It seems Shyamalan and TNT are just going to do whatever they want with this series. It may come out a total train wreck or a new favorite. Either way it seems it will be barely recognizable as anything similar to the iconic series this ninjette grew up with. As I said before, Tales from the Crypt returns, kind of.
