We’ve all heard of the popular movie franchise, Saw
. Most of us have probably watched at least one or two of the films before, as well. It’s unfortunate that after six years, Lionsgate
put the franchise to an end in 2010 with the seventh installment, Saw: The Final Chapter
. However, as with most things, ‘final chapters’ are rarely the actual end. As with Jason Voorhees
and his legacy, there is a sequel in the works for Saw
! For those who enjoyed the films and perhaps even dressed up as the infamous “Jigsaw” for Halloween in the past, this is certainly an exciting proposal.
Lionsgate is currently developing the new film, titled Saw: Legacy. The writing duo of Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, writers of both Pirahna 3D and Sorority Row, have been asked to lend their talents to the Saw sequel script. Naturally, all the films’ details are being kept secret for the time being, but you can imagine it would be expected sometime around Halloween this year. Nothing is official, but until then, what do you ninjas think of this? Comment below!
