Slipknot Tour Postponed, Corey Taylor Has Unplanned Surgery
While metal fans of all kinds have been looking forward to the upcoming Slipknot tour with Marilyn Manson and Of Mice & Men, it looks as though the wait will be a little longer. Having undergone unplanned spinal surgery earlier today, frontman Corey Taylor announced that he will need recovery time before hitting the stage again. Posted through Facebook, here is the official message regarding the tour:
In a short tweet, Taylor explained how the surgery came to be…
Basically broke my neck a while back & didn't realize it. Had 2 have disc replaced & work on vertebrae. Those 1st shows rescheduled for Aug.

He comically included a neck brace selfie, which also serves the purpose of continuously celebrating his decision to quit smoking.
Feel better soon and we’ll see you on the road when you’re ready, Corey!
The tour will now officially begin on June 28th in Nashville, Tennessee. All three featured acts will still a part of the lineup.
