Stephen King’s IT remake juuust might go down
By now.. I’m sure some of you have heard..There is talk of remaking one of the scariest, no, creepiest movies of my childhood.. IT. It looks like the remake of Stephen King’s IT could begin shooting this year.
Speculation of the production being put on hold started when it was reported earlier in the week that Cary Fukunaga (Director of True Detective) removed himself from the project. According to Bloody Disgusting, it all boils down to creative differences with New Line Cinema as to why Fukunaga departed the project. Fukunaga wanted to film in New York and there were also talks of budget cuts.
Warner Bros., New Line’s parent company, is reported to be meeting with new candidates for director. Rumors are flying that Will Poulter, British actor, will try and fill the shoes of Tim Curry as Pennywise.
Give us your thoughts. Who should direct this and who would be your ideal Pennywise. Sound off in the comments below.
