Stephen McHattie Announced at Texas Frightmare Weekend

We’re extremely excited to announce that frequently requested actor Stephen McHattie has joined the lineup for TFW 2016! McHattie appeared in many films and television shows including Star Trek: Deep Space NineStar Trek: Enterprise and Highlander: The Series. His other roles include 300A History of ViolenceThe FountainShoot ‘Em Up and Beverly Hills Cop III.

Horror fans will recognize him in many roles like the cowboy serial killer in Death Valley, shock jock Grant Mazzy inPontypool, Lieutenant Dodd in The Tall Man, the murderous evil Pale Man in Haunter, Andrew Borden in Lizzy Borden Took an Axe, vampire vigilante Vaun in The Strain, and many, many more.

In 1976 McHattie played James Dean in the television movie James Dean: Portrait of a Friend, a television adaptation of the biography written by James Dean’s friend and writer Bill Bast.

McHattie also portrayed Hollis Mason, the first Nite Owl, in the film adaptation of Watchmen.

He began his cinematic career acting in movies for director Brian De Palma giving a hilarious performance as preening, flamboyant rock star Beef in “Phantom of the Paradise.”
