SummerSlam pre-show to be two hours

SummerSlam Pre-Show Gets An Extra Dose For The Pre-Show
SummerSlam,

Get ready for a long day of rasslin…. er, I mean sports entertainment.

According to the schedule for Sunday, Aug. 21 listed on WWE Network, SummerSlam’s extended run time of four hours isn’t the only way the “biggest party of the Summer” is following in WrestleMania’s footsteps. We’re also getting two hours of Kickoff coverage this weekend, meaning the whole PPV broadcast will run from 5PM until 11PM Eastern.

That’s a lot, especially coming off TakeOver the night before (itself getting a 30 minute pre-show before a 150 minute event time).

On the positive side, that likely means two or even three Kickoff matches, which increases the likelihood performers who look left out right now – such as Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Becky Lynch and American Alpha – might find there way onto our screens this Sunday.

Excited about the six hours of wrestling (and talking about wrestling) coming your way this weekend?
