American Greetings Relaunches 80s Entertainment Brand, Madballs

American Greetings has announced Just Play as its fellow toy partner as it begins on a mission to relaunch the cult classic Madballs brand with a whole new line of collectables. For those of you who have no clue what I’m talking about, Madballs were one of the greatest things to come out of the 80’s. For this ninja, it was one of the dopest things a kid could have in school. It was like an underground traders market amongst my classmates. Good stuff right there.

These foam baseball shaped amazing pieces of work, grew in popularity and ended up having all sorts of spin-offs including comic books and even a cartoon series! Austin-based, Mondo art gallery put out their own high-quality vinyl Madballs figures up for pre-order on their website. These are exciting times for fans of the 80’s, first an actual depiction of a “Good Guy Chucky” doll and now this!
