Skyrim Special Edition Officially Headed To PS4, Xbox One, PC
Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is barely five years old and with a cult-like following. So much in fact, that the really intense fan base keeps the game pretty through HD mods. Bethesda’s took notice to their following and responded: tonight at its E3 press conference, the organization has announced a remastered variant of Skyrim coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard made the long-awaited announcement by simply saying: “There is something else you’ve been asking us about and, yes, we’ve been working on it.”
Praising graphical enrichments like “snow shaders” and “volumetric god rays“,Skyrim: Special Edition will also follow Fallout 4‘s lead by including selected mods on console.

Judging from the footage just delivered — head to 3:18 if you want to skip all the new Fallout( but why would you do that?)— Skyrim Special Edition has been enhanced dramatically for the new generation. Skyrim Special Edition will be accessible free of charge to PC players who now own Skyrim and the complete Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn DLC expansions on Steam. It is also free to gamers who own the Legendary Edition in Steam. The console versions will also now back PC mods. The remastered game is launching October 28th.
