Trailer For “Smothered” Featuring Horror Icons Has Arrived

In July of 2015, there was an announcement that Smothered -a horror/comedy written by John Schneider– would be gracing our lives on VOD and DVD in February of 2016. Well, as you all know, February has come and gone, with no signs of Smothered. However, the release date has been pushed back, but only slightly. The movie will reach select theatres on March 25th, followed by a DVD/VOD release date of March 29th. The character list will include many familiar faces within the horror genre, i.e. Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, R.A. Mihailoff, Don Shanks, Michael Berryman, Josh Kassir, and Brea Grant. The official synopsis of the film is set to be the following:

“When a bunch of horror icons are at a crappy horror convention, they get offered a bunch of money to scare a bunch of fans at the local park. Easy money for a weekend gig, right? Wrong. When they get there, they meet the woman who runs it, as well as her incredibly well-endowed daughter, Dee Dee, but little do they know that they are not just the stars of the weekend, but the intended victims!”

To build on the hype while also making up for the extended wait, a Red Band trailer for the film has been released! Although the trailer gives the impression that the movie will be quite entertaining, there seems to be a few spoilers concerning the fates of several characters. Check out the trailer below, but don’t say that we didn’t warn you! (Must be 18+ to watch)
