Calling all ‘Dead’ heads!!! Walking Dead, that is!!

The Walking Dead is back from it’s winter break on Sunday and we have been gifted with a sneak peek of what’s in store for this highly anticipated return!

The second half of Season 5 opens as grimly as you can expect for The Walking Dead…with Beth’s burial. Her sister, Maggie (Lauren Cohan), is seen weeping as Father Gabriel Seth Gillam) recites a bible verse over Beth’s grave.

The video clip also gives fans a look at the forward momentum for the rest of the season – Noah (Tyler James Williams) tells Rick (Andrew Lincoln) that he and Beth had planned to head for a place outside Richmond, Virginia. Fans of the comic series will note that the place they’re heading to is likely the Alexandria Safe-Zone in Alexandria, Virginia. It’s about six miles out from Washington, D.C. and was where everyone was headed before Eugene (Josh McDermitt) exposed himself as a fraud.

“If it works out, it’s the last long trip we have to make,” Rick tells the group. “What if it isn’t around anymore?” asks Glenn (Steven Yeun).

Rick replies with what may as well be the slogan for The Walking Dead: “Then we keep going.” Be sure to catch The Walking Dead on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC
