WWE Monday Night RAW Recap
The New Day vs The League Of Nations was the Tag Team Championship match. So, apparently I got ahead of myself last night and thought the tag titles were on the line at WrestleMania last night. I thought it was weird that it was a 3v3 match, but since when are all the titles not on the line at WrestleMania? I don’t know. That’s just weird to me. Anyway The League Of Nations finally got a shot at the titles tonight and what do they do? Screw it up as usual! Its funny when the tag titles aren’t on the line they destroy The New Day, but when they do get a shot they blow it. Honestly ,The New Day just out wrestled them. Big E showed out as he suplexes everybody at the end of the match and then him and Kofi both get there finishing moves off on King Barret and then gets the win. I’m not a big New Day fan, but they had a great match. After the match Sheamus gets in the ring and says there something wrong with the League. Del Rio and Rusev grab Barret and Sheamus gives him a Brogue kick. Out of no where the lights go out and the Wyatt family is in the ring and they dismantle The League as Bray hits the sister Abigail on Sheamus.
Mr. McMahon is leaving the arena as Renee Young ask him if he’s leaving because he trusts Shane. McMahon says he’s leaving because he doesn’t want to be on this sinking ship when it goes down.
Sasha Banks vs Summer Rae: Before the match Summer makes fun of Sasha after losing at WrestleMania. Sasha comes out, says she’s still the boss and slaps the shit out of Summer and the match starts. Summer slides out of the ring to get away from Sasha already. Sasha chases her, but as she comes around the corner Summer grabs her and strings her up on the rope, because it’s just that easy. Of course, Sasha just gets her in the bank statement and she taps immediately.
Apollo Crews vs Tyler Breeze: Apollo’s debut on RAW couldn’t have gone any better. With a gorilla press to a moonsault and then a spinout powerbomb for the win he is showing what he can really do.
Roman Riegns comes out to the ring as the crowd boo’s so loud you can’t even hear yourself think. Riegns says he’s not a bad guy but he’s not a good guy either. he’s the GUY. He said he will wrestle anybody to defend his belt. At that time Chris Jericho comes out. Jericho tells the crowd to shut up and that he should be the number 1 contender. At that time AJ Styles comes out and points to the belt. Then so does Kevin Owens. So does Sami Zayne and as Zayne comes out, him an Owens go at it and start fighting and then so does AJ and Jericho. Jericho turns around and Riegns spears him and leaves the ring. Riegns runs into Shane backstage and Shanes tells him Jericho, Styles, Owens, and Zayne will fight to be the number 1 contender.
Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler: Baron Corbin is a monster. He is one of my favorite wrestlers at the moment. He just doesn’t care. He’s there to mess shit up. Other than that, he could care less. He’s out to prove himself. This match proves it. He just manhandles Ziggler. Even when Ziggler somewhat had the upper hand he was barely fazed. At the close of the match Corbin hits Ziggler with a deep six and almost gets the three count. Ziggler rolls out of the ring and Corbin chases him booting him over the barricade. They both get counted out. Corbin goes nuts and hits Ziggler with the end of days outside.
Ryder reminisces of the time he got a picture of Razor Ramon and him as he held Ramon’s intercontinental title and at WrestleMania Ramon took a picture with him as Ramon held his title. The Miz walks in with his loud mouth saying Ryder ruined his moment at WrestleMania and he wants a title shot. Ryder says he has nothing to prove. The Miz just keeps prodding him until finally he agrees and gives him a shot.
The Miz vs Ryder WWE Intercontinental championship match: Hell there seems to be more title shots on RAW then there was at WrestleMania. Well, I figured it wouldn’t last long. Ryder with the belt that is The Miz gets in Ryder’s dad’s face and he pushes The Miz down as Maryse comes from the crowd and slaps Ryder’s dad. Ryder distracted gives The Miz time to hit him with the skullcrusher for the win. The Miz is the new WWE intercontinental champion.
Lita is standing in the ring presenting the new WWE women’s championship belt to Charlotte with the other Divas at the presentation. Charlotte says that she couldn’t have went down in the record books without her dad. Now, that’s an understatement! She said under a year she not only was the last WWE Divas Champion, but also the first WWE women’s champion. Becky walks out as Natty gets tired of it and grabs a mic. She says Charlotte needs a lesson in humility. Natty challenges Charlotte to a match. Charlotte ignores her, so Natty drops her and locks the sharpshooter in until Ric Flair pulls her out the hold.
The Uso vs The Dudley Boyz in a tables match. These matches are always awesome to watch. You’re always on the tip of your toes as someone is about to be put through a table, but then reverses. These two teams fight like their fighting for there lives, but this is The Dudley Boyz match. They hardly ever lose these matches. The Uso’s almost won as they set the Dudleys up on tables and got on the top ropes, but they both roll out and The Uso’s go straight through the tables. The bell rings, but Bubba isn’t satisfied. So D–Von picks up Jey and throws him through a table.
Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayne vs AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho, a number one contenders match. Honestly does it even matter who wins this match? I don’t know, but to me the only person that would even come close to beating Roman Reigns is maybe Jericho. Hell, Reigns speared Jericho and he looked half dead. Anyway what can I say about this match? It was 4 guys trying to land their biggest baddest moves to prove themselves and become the number one contender. Even after a code breaker Styles kicks out and just goes bananas and starts attacking Jericho and then hits the Styles clash and picks up the victory. Yeah, I like AJ Styles, but I don’t see him getting to far with Roman Reigns.
